Dr Seuss Birthday Bash

Our little man turned one...almost a month ago!  I can't believe it! Time goes by faster and faster. Here are some pictures from the hospital when he was about 13 lbs lighter.
He stayed in the NICU for a week before we all came home. What a fun year it has been since then.
Let's reminisce: Year's Montage
His red hair is gone, his long naps, and if he ever had baby fat it would be gone too. Its been an exciting and fun year with our little guy and we are so blessed and happy to have him in our lives
We celebrated the big day in between Christmas day and Marlyn's wedding. It was a fun little Dr Seuss themed party.  Grandma Farrer was kind enough to let us use her place for the party

My mom had gotten him a Duke shirt last summer and it also says Thing 1 on it. I don't understand why Dr Seuss and Duke would be on a shirt, but it matched the party so he wore it.
Lots of cake EVERYWHERE! He loved it and it was so fun to watch.  My favorite is when he shoveled it into his mouth.
His attentive guests.
We had Thing 1 and 2 cupcakes, they were supposed to look like these CUPCAKES, but I couldn't find blue cotton candy in the entire valley. ugh. So I made blue frosting that ended up being very yummy. We also were going to have green eggs and ham (green deviled eggs and little ham sandwiches) But we forgot to put the green dye in the eggs, oops. The birthday boy got sooooo many nice gifts from everyone. Lots of books and toys. I think he really enjoyed watching all his other little cousins run around too. Big thanks to Trish, Rob, and Deb for helping with the food and more. And also to my sister-in-law Adria, who was the birthday photographer.

He had a great birthday and thanks to all that came! Here he is licking a balloon, Damien is too.
