Ugh. Last Thurs/Friday was absolute misery. I got baby down for the night and was planning on a relaxing evening while D was at work. Not so. What I thought were UTI symptoms quickly turned into something much worse. I called Dave, D's bro who lives in the basement apartment, to see if he wouldn't mind picking up some cranberry juice. By the time he got back I had thrown up all over the carpet from the pain. Ummmm yeah I wrote that and I know its gross. Anyways he ran me to the doctors...morphine shot, no real help...ran me to radiology...kidney stone! Damien met up with us there. Holy crap, I wouldn't wish this on my
worst enemy ANYBODY. It was worst than childbirth, no lie. At least with labor pains you know they will end in a minute or so and then give you a break. Or you have the option of an epidural. It would be like an hour and a half and then let up. Once we got the pain meds I had to wait forever, otherwise I would just barf them up. And then they would wear off in 3 hours. Damien was a good sport. He cannot handle watching, smelling, anything to do with people barfing. He said God really blessed him, since he was holding my bowl for me and being there all night and the next day. It was rough but we got through it. I passed it friday late afternoon, hooray.
I'm so grateful to Dave for rushing to my aid. He stayed with me even after D came. And then he was kind enough to go pick up my meds. And sweet Adria stayed at the house with Blake
AND cleaned up vomit! Um not everyone would be so kind. Thank you thank you thank you! Also D's parents took baby friday through saturday. D was pulling double duty and that really kept him sane. And Aunt Cindy had Nae bring me a hot pad. Really helped.Everyone was so sweet and helpful. What a blessing they were and are! Thanks again
I took a few silly pics of baby that I'll post tomorrow...or the next.
Also, anyone going to Conference? We are!

How terrible! I'm glad you're feeling better. I've heard that before, that passing kidney stones is worse than labor. Glad it's over and Damien was good help :)
